This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I am applying and have yet to do the bike/free choice one. I am jealous of your creativity in your free choice...I want to do something very abstract because most of my port is very academic/observational...I wish I were as creative as you though. As for the bike piece I think I will do an extremely cropped image so that the bike seems almost abstracted...not sure yet. But in any case I really love your bike piece. Did you use a photo reference? Because if you did, you still made the piece so alive, which is hard to do from photo. And if it's from straight observation, ROCK ON, it must've been hard to have your friend hold that pose haha
Well I went to the summer program at the SMFA this summer and absolutely adored it, and I'm from Boston, and love the city, so thats a plus for me, but since i live so close it would be unlikely that i'd get housing, and i don't want to live at home lol.
The SMFA is nice and all, but when I think about the size of the school, it was outstanding for a summer program, but possibly a bit limited as a college. Just looking objectively RISD is ranked the number one art school in the country (I think tied with Chicago and Savannah college of art and design or something or other). I'm going down to see RISD on the 24th, open house day, was sposed to go the 18th but got there and contracted some awful virus haha, if theres any way you could get down and see it, thats usually a great help.
Sozzz...objectively, RISD is the better school, but its all about whats right for you, like I said if theres any way you could see both of them in person its probably the best thing.

Feel free to IM me if you have questions. I really enjoy it here. I assume you are going into illustration, which is commercially geared here, but I don't know enough, i am in Industrial Design.
But overall the people and professors are lovely, for the most part.
